EVOLV "HTHW" SERIES BOILERS - ASME CODE SECTION I HIGH PRESSURE HIGH TEMPERATURE HOT WATER BOILERS:

The EVOLV Industrial HTHW Series boiler is ideal for high temperature hot water applications with available designs up to 500 F maximum allowable working temperature (MAWT) and 800 psig maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP). With its’ innovative pressure vessel and tube configuration, system designs incorporating temperature differentials of up to 150 F across the boiler may be used without potential for damaging the boiler through thermal expansion and contraction. The boiler carries a standard 25 year pressure vessel warranty covering high temperature differential operation. In addition, the boiler may also be kept in a cold standby mode and when required to produce heat, the unit may be brought up to full firing capacity without suffering from the effects of thermal shock. With a cold start, and considering the relatively low water content of the vessel, the unit is capable of being up to required system temperature within 12 minutes.

Further, this operating capability translates directly into fuel cost savings by greatly reducing standby heat losses associated with maintaining a boiler in a warm or hot standby mode. Coupling this design feature with the fact that the boiler has the highest steady state operating efficiency of any water tube boiler on the market today, annual fuel cost savings that will be realized when using the EVOLV Industrial boiler for high temperature hot water applications are truly significant. Additional system and installation savings may realized when considering high differential temperature systems have corresponding low water flow rates, thus reducing pumping requirements and distribution pipe sizes. EVOLV "S" SERIES BOILERS - ASME CODE SECTION I HIGH PRESSURE HIGH PRESSURE STEAM BOILERS:

The EVOLV Industrial “S” Series boiler is designed ideally for high pressure process steam and steam heating applications, with a standard maximum allowable working pressure (MWAP) of 150 psig and engineered designs with an MWAP of up to 800 psig, all manufactured in accordance with Section I of the ASME Code. A key design and operating feature of the EVOLV Industrial “S” Series boiler is its’ ability to be operated under cold start conditions without concern for resultant thermal expansion and contraction and the damage typically experienced by other steel water tube boiler designs when operated in this manner. This operating feature means that using the EVOLV Industrial design for process and steam heating applications will result in greatly reduced standby losses associated with maintaining boilers in warm or hot standby modes. With its’ innovative pressure vessel and tube configuration, the boiler may be started under a cold condition and brought up to steam pressure typically in less than 12 minutes. The boiler carries a standard 25 year pressure vessel warranty covering any damage resulting from thermal expansion and contraction associated with this type of operation. In addition to the cold start capability of the boiler design, its’ low water volume also allows the boiler to respond rapidly to fluctuations in steam demand, allowing for fluid steam production transitioning as steam loads increase and decrease.

Another key to the EVOLV Industrial boiler pressure vessel design is the creation of five full length longitudinal gas passes which produce a greatly increased gas side heat transfer coefficient (hg) resulting in higher overall heat transfer coefficients (U) for the EVOLV heat exchanger design. As a result, the EVOLV Industrial “S” Series boiler operates at the highest available efficiency in the Water Tube Boiler market. Standard efficiency without the use of an economizer, at an operating pressure of 150 psig, has been field measured at 81%. This, combined with the heavily insulated casing / jacket design, with radiant heat losses of less than 0.5%, results in a very significant reduction in energy consumption and thus greatly increased fuel cost savings. Adding to this ability to operate the boiler from a cold start without concern for damages caused by thermal expansion and contraction offers the consulting engineer improved system design flexibility which will maximize fuel cost savings. EVOLV "W" SERIES BOILERS - ASME CODE SECTION IV HOT WATER BOILERS:
The EVOLV Industrial “W” Series boiler is designed for hot water heating applications with a maximum allowable working pressure (MWAP) of 160 psig and a maximum allowable working temperature (MWAT) of 250 F in accordance with Section IV of the ASME Code. The boiler design may be supplied in two versions, one using a mechanical interference tube to drum connection and the other with welded tube to drum connections. The interference connection version offers advantages when considering boiler maintenance in the event a tube were to need replacement within the pressure vessel. With this type of connection, tube replacement may be effected without the need for any torch cutting or ASME welding on the vessel. An additional significant design feature of the EVOLV Industrial boiler is the heavy gauge reinforced steel casing with its’ bolt together design. Full access to the boiler fireside is achieved requiring only standard hand tools. With its’ innovative pressure vessel and tube configuration, the boiler tubes form membrane waterwall surfaces in both the radiant zone (furnace) and convection zone of the boiler. Tubes are arranged tangentially to form the membrane waterwalls without the need to weld adjacent tubes together, thus facilitating fireside maintenance for cleaning and / or tube replacement.
